How to Install Minecraft Forge Mods on Your Windows PC

For users running Forge/modded servers, it is important to remember that mods must be installed on both your server and your PC to connect successfully. This guide outlines how to install your chosen mods locally on your Windows PC.

Firstly, ensure that you have Forge installed on your server and PC.

Remember that your mod version must match the version of Minecraft that you are playing on - otherwise, you will not be able to connect!

How to Install Mods on your PC

In order to get started, you will need to head into your computer's %appdata% directory and move your mods over to your computer's mods folder.

Step 1:

Open File Explorer and enter %appdata% in the search bar.

Navigate to the .minecraft/mods directory.
