DayZ supports a large number of mods from the vanilla game. You can easily get these up and running on your server!
If you haven't installed any mods on your client yet, be sure to check out our guide on how to install Workshop mods for your DayZ client.
You can install mods on your DayZ server by downloading the mod folders from your DayZ client and uploading them to your server.
Launch DayZ and go to the MODS tab.
Click the drop-down arrow on one of the mods you wish to use on the server, then the three dots and Open Folder in Windows Explorer.
Copy and paste the mods you wish to use on your server into a new folder on your Desktop for later use.
If you can't see these mods folders, you may need to launch the game once to generate the files.
Log in to your control panel and Stop your server.
Navigate to the Files tab.
Navigate to the mods folder on your desktop and upload these to your server.
If the mod name has spaces, please remove these or replace them with dashes before uploading.
For each mod, open their folder and navigate to the Keys folder. Move the file from there to the keys folder in the main directory on your server.
Once these uploads are complete, locate and open the dayz.properties file in your server files.
Add your mods to either Mods or Server Mods.
Most mods will indicate whether they belong in mods or servermods on their workshop page. In the screenshot below, @zomberry-admin-tools is a server mod because only Admins require its functionality on their client.
Mods in a list should be separated by a ;

Click save and Restart your server.
You have successfully installed and activated mods on your DayZ server! Enjoy exploring the exciting new content and features that these mods bring to your server.
