Players may wish for a fresh Nether to explore, and to find new fortresses to loot and raid. Whatever you want, resetting The Nether on Minecraft is easy as pie, and this guide will teach you how to do it.
The method of how you reset The Nether will depend on the server type you are running, such as Vanilla Minecraft, or running Spigot, Bukkit or Paper.
These steps involve deleting files. Deleted files cannot be recovered. If there is a chance you may want to recover the files, make sure you backup before deleting anything.
You can reset The Nether by deleting the DIM-1 folder found within the server files.
Access your control panel and Shut Down your server.
Access your server files, and open the World folder.
Select the DIM-1 and Delete it.
Do not be mistaken with the folder named DIM1, this is The End. If deleted, your End will reset.
Confirm deletion of the folder.
Start your server.
You can reset The Nether by deleting the world_nether folder found in your servers files.
Access your control panel and Shut Down your server.
Access your server files, and locate the world_nether folder.
Select the world_nether folder, and delete it.
Confirm deletion of the folder.
Start your Server.
