Offline mode servers allow cracked (non-premium) gane clients to connect. Among many other downsides, one negative to offline mode servers is that they no longer communicate with Mojang skin servers. As a result, players will all appear as default Minecraft skins when they connect.
Luckily, a plugin called SkinsRestorer exists which does exactly as it sounds, it bridges the gap between Mojang skin servers and your offline Spigot server, restoring player skins.
This guide explains how to install a plugin on a Minecraft server. To install plugins, you must have a plugin-compatible server type running. If you are unsure if you are running a plugin-compatible server type, please visit this article for more information.
Download the latest version of SkinsRestorer
Navigate to the SkinsRestorer Spigot page and download the latest version. You may need to download an older plugin version if you are using a really old version of Minecraft.
Access your server's control panel and navigate to the Files tab.
Select the plugins folder to open it
Upload the SkinsRestorer jar file you downloaded
Start your server.
That's it! After your server boots up, Skin Restorer will be loaded up and working as expected.
