How to Uninstall Mods on a Minecraft Server

Sometimes you may need to remove a specific mod from your server due to errors it generates, a common reason to remove a mod is due to incompatibilities with other mods on your server.

If you are using an official modpack, we highly recommend contacting the modpack creator for support instead of deleting mods you believe cause the issue. This can cause unintended corruption as modpack setups are generally very complex and "many wires cross".

We highly recommend generating a new backup for your server before following the steps in this guide. Please refer to this article for more information.

Manually Uninstalling Mods

Step 1:

Access your server's control panel and navigate to the Files tab.

Open your Shockbyte panel and click the files tab
Step 2:

Click the mods folder to open it

Open the mods folder by clicking its name
Step 3:

Select your desired mods, then click the Delete button

Select the mods you would like to remove then click the delete button to begin deleting them
Step 4:

Start or restart your server if it is already running

Start or restart your server

That's it! When your server next boots up, the mods will be removed.
