All DayZ servers at Shockbyte welcome the ability to use the experimental branch of the game at any time. Using DayZ Experimental allows you and your players to access unreleased features of the game early, and switching over to Experimental can be done in just a few clicks.
Using DayZ Experimental on Your Server
In order to use the experimental branch of the game, you will need to change your server type. To do this, you will need to login to your control panel and choose one using the server type selector tool.
Since DayZ experimental often introduces breaking changes compared to DayZ stable, it's highly recommended you reset all of your server files when swapping to experimental mode. Feel free to create a backup before resetting your server files by following this guide.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Locate the Server Type field and click the drop-down menu.
- Select the DayZ Experimental Server Type.
- Reset your server files by following this guide.
- Start your server.
Once your server boots back up, it will be running the experimental branch of DayZ.
