How to Reset and Modify Your Core Keeper World

Core Keeper features a vast, procedurally generated world. To keep the game interesting, you might want to generate a new one. However, there are quite a few settings that can influence how the new world works.

If you’re only interested in changing your server difficulty, you should check out How to Enable Hard Difficulty on your Core Keeper Server.

Modifying Your World

  1. Log in to your control panel and Stop your server.

  2. Navigate to Files > FTP Access.

  3. Find the corekeeper.properties file and Edit it.

  4. Modify your server settings as needed. A table explaining these settings can be found below.

NAME DEFAULT VALUE DESCRIPTION
world_name Core Keeper Server Sets the MOTD/display name for the server.
world_seed 0 (This sets the world generation to random) Changes the world generation seed.
world_mode 0 Determines the worl'd difficulty. 0 is Normal, and 1 is Hard.
world 0 Sets which world will be used. The number used corresponds to the world. For example, "1" will load "1.world.gzip".

Resetting Your World

  1. Stop your server.

  2. Navigate to Files > FTP Access.

  3. Navigate to /.config/unity3d/Pugstorm/Core Keeper/DedicatedServer/worlds/. This is where your worlds are saved.

  4. Delete the file 0.world.gzip. The number will change depending on how many worlds you have. If you want to change the world being deleted, change the number before world.gzip.

Note: The files with the extension .pugbackup can be safely ignored.

  5. Restart your server to generate a new world.
