Configuring mods allows you to make changes to various features that a specific mod can bring.
Important: Not every mod is configurable, if you cannot find a config.json file within the mod then it is likely non-configurable.
Configuring Mods
After installing a mod, you will need to Start your server before a config file is generated. Once the config file has been generated you can easily edit it by connecting to your server via FTP.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Connect to your server via FTP, we would suggest FileZilla.
- Navigate to
/StardewValley/Mods.
- Open the folder of the mod you wish to configure.
- Locate config.json, right-click it and select View/Edit.
- Make any changes, close the file and select Finish editing and delete local file on Filezilla.
- Start your Server.
