There may be a plethora of reasons to reset your Minecraft world, such as world corruption, a new Minecraft update, or simply just looking for a fresh start.
This guide teaches you how to reset your Minecraft world as a whole, so it includes both The Nether & The End. If you would like to learn how to reset each of these individually, we have guides on how to reset them both.
Before starting with this guide, it is highly recommended that you create a backup of your world to make sure you have a copy on the off chance you change your mind.
You can reset your Minecraft world by deleting the world folders found in your server files.
Access your control panel and Shut Down your server.
Access your server files, and locate the world folders.
Select your world folder(s), and click Delete.
The name of the active world folders will match what you have named the world in the level name option of your server.properties.
Confirm file deletion.
These steps involve deleting files. Deleted files cannot be recovered. If there is a chance you may want to recover the files, make sure you backup before deleting anything.
Start your server to generate a new world.
That's it! Once your server boots up a new world will be generated.
