Being able to select maps allows server owners to create diversity on their Counter Strike 2 community server, allowing players to experience game modes across a variety of map pools. Currently with the release of Counter Strike 2 only the active duty and 2 hostage maps are available on community servers.
Available Maps
In total, there are currently 10 available maps which are part of 2 different map groups. These are important to distinguish as you are required to set the map group that your server uses. The table below will match the various maps with the map group they are part of.

Setting a Map
Once you have chosen your desired map and map group you're able to set it in the CS2 Server Settings section of your control panel.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to Files > Config Files.
- Click CS2 Server Settings.
- Set the Map option to the map of your choice, then set Map Group to the value associated with your map.
- Save and Start your server.
