There are a variety of difficulty-related configuration options available to HumanitZ server owners. By customising these options, you can configure your server to be exactly as difficult as you see fit.
Configuring the Server Difficulty
You can change the game / A.I. difficulty on your server using the HumanitZ Server Settings file on your server's control panel.
There isn't one singular setting you can adjust to change your overall game difficulty, but you can modify a handful of different aspects to make the game more difficult.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to Files > Config Files.
- Click HumanitZ Server Settings.
- Make your desired changes to one or more of the following configuration options:
Option Description Permanent Death Sets what level of permanent death difficulty your server should use.
0- Off (No perma-death)1- Individual2- All
It's recommended public servers stay at 0.
Zombie Health The difficulty level of zombie health.
0- Very Easy1- Easy2- Default3- Hard4- Very Hard5- Nightmare
Zombie Speed The difficulty level of zombie speed.
0- Very Easy1- Easy2- Default3- Hard4- Very Hard5- Nightmare
Zombie Damage The difficulty of zombie damage.
0- Very Easy1- Easy2- Default3- Hard4- Very Hard5- Nightmare
Total Number of Zombies Multiplier Raise or lower the global zombie limit (Warning, increasing this can impact performance).
For example, setting this to
1.2will result in 20% more zombies than default.Total Number of Zombie Dogs Raise or lower the global zombie dog limit (Warning, increasing this can impact performance).
For example, setting this to0.9will result in 10% less zombie dogs than default.Zombie Respawn Timer How long (in seconds) it should take for a zombie to respawn. (Default is 60) Human Difficulty What difficulty level humans should be.
0- Very Easy1- Easy2- Default3- Hard4- Very Hard5- Nightmare
Human Amount Multiplier Raise or lower the global human npc limit (Warning, increasing this can impact performance).
For example, setting this to
1.1will result in 10% more humans than default. - Save and Start your server.
