How to Install Mods on your Squad Server

Installing mods on your Squad server is an easy process all you'll need is the mod or collection workshop ID and access to your server's control panel. There are a range of different mods available for squad ranging from new factions to maps and even complete conversions for you to choose from.

You can find the top rated Steam Workshop mods here.

Finding Steam Workshop Mods

Find the Mod IDs of each mod you wish to install on the Steam Workshop.

  1. Find your required mod on Steam Workshop. You can find the Steam Workshop for Squad here.
  2. Find the Mod ID in the URL of the web page for the mod.
  3. Copy the numbers as the end of the URL, this is the Mod ID that you will need to paste into your server config.

    Example URL: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2240351000

In the example above, the Mod ID would be 2240351000.

Adding Mods To Your Server

Once you have Workshop Mod/Collection IDs of the mods you wish to install, you're ready to add them to your server. Your server will automatically install and enable any workshop items you have specified, you are not required to perform advanced configuration to set these up.

  1. Navigate to your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Open Squad Server Settings.
  4. In the Workshop Mods IDs field, enter the Workshop IDs of each mod you wish to use, separated by commas.
  5. If you wish to install workshop collections, you can specify IDs within the Workshop Collection IDs box above.
  6. Press Save and Start your server to apply the changes.
