It is possible to have your Squad server cycle through a list of maps either at random or in a set order. By default all maps are enabled and part of the server's map rotation. In Squads server config maps are labelled as levels.
Enabling Map Rotation
Before defining a map list, you will need to enable level rotation and set the type of rotation that the server will follow. Note that you are unable to have both a map and layer rotation, you can only choose one to rotate.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Go to Files > Config Files.
- Click Server.cfg.
- Set
MapRotationModetoLevelList_Randomizedfor randomised rotation orLevelListfor a set order.
- Click the Save button and Start your server.
Setting A Map List
Once map rotation has been enabled, you will need to define the order of levels. If randomisation is not enabled, the server will progress through the list from top to bottom
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Go to Files > Config Files.
- Click LevelRotation.cfg.
- Set the order of levels with one Level ID per line.
- Click the Save button and Start the server.
