How To Install Workshop Mods To Your Conan Exiles Server

There are a huge variety of mods available for Conan Exiles, ranging from new weapons and thralls to new maps and complete overhauls. Adding mods to your server is a great way to attract new players and add replayability for old ones.

We've made installing and keeping mods up to date easy by adding an automatic mod installer to the server control panel.

Obtaining Steam Workshop IDs

Before you can install the mods, you will need the Steam Workshop ID for the mods you wish to use.

  1. Go to the Conan Exiles Steam Workshop and locate a mod you wish to install.
  2. Open the workshop page for the desired mod, and using the URL copy the workshop ID.
  3. Do this for every mod you wish to install on your server.

Installing Workshop Mods

Once your Workshop IDs have been gathered, you are ready to install the mods.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Click Conan Exiles Server Properties.
  4. Enter the Workshop IDS in the Workshop Mod Ids field separated by commas.
  5. Save and Start your server.

Defining Mod Load Orders

If your installed mods are required to be loaded in a specific order, you can define this in your Conan Exiles properties file.

  1. Find the names of the mod files you'd like to load in a specific order. You can find them at /ConanSandbox/Mods/.
  2. In the Mod Load Order field, list the names of the mods you wish to load, separated by commas, in the order you want them to load.
  3. Save and Start your server.

Uploading Custom Mods

If you would like to install a mod that is not offered on the Steam workshop, you can upload it to your custom-mods folder to automatically install them.

  1. Navigate to your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Access your server files via FTP, we recommend using Filezilla.
  3. Navigate to /custom-mods/. and upload your mod.pak file.
  4. Return to your control panel and Start your server.
