Since the 3.20.4.0 update, it has been possible for Unturned servers to be authenticated using a Game Server Login Token (GSLT).
After version 3.21.31.0 all servers not authenticated using a GSLT token will be hidden from the in-game server list.
WHY GSLT KEYS ARE REQUIRED
Many games require you to have what is known as a Game Server Login Token to run your server. This is done to ensure that servers are created by real people and to hold accountability to the owner if those servers violate the game's Server's Terms of Service.
In order to be able to generate a GSLT, you must have a Steam account which:
- Is not banned or blocked.
- Is not limited.
- Has a qualifying registered phone attached.
- Owns the game for the server you are making a key for.
- Has not reached the cap of 1,000 GSLT keys.
If your server is found to be breaking Valve's ToS, the server and your linked Steam account may be banned by Valve.
HOW TO GET A GSLT KEY
If you have a Steam account that meets Valve's requirements a GSLT can easily be obtained using the Steam website.
- First, make sure that you are logged into the Steam Community website.
- Navigate to Steam Game Servers Account.
- At the bottom of the page, enter
304930
for the App ID of the game. - Optionally add a note then click Create.
- Your GLTS key is the Login Token that will appear.
HOW TO ADD YOUR GSLT KEY
Once you have obtained a GSLT you can easily add it to your server using your control panel.
- Navigate to your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to Files > Config Files.
- Click Unturned Server Settings.
- Enter your GSLT into the Steam GSLT Token field.
- Click Save and Start your server.
