How to Set your The Forest Server to Private

Setting your The Forest server to private will allow you to give access to a select few players and stop any uninvited players from joining your server. The easiest way to achieve this is by adding a password to your server, which players will be prompted to enter before they can connect.

Setting a Server Password

You can easily set a password in your server's The Forest Server Setting file using your server's control panel.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Open The Forest Server Settings.
  4. Enter a password in the Server Password field.
  5. Save and Start your server.
