When hosting a Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator server, you may wish to modify the name and/or description of your server. This can be an especially useful configuration option to change if you plan on running a public server that will display on the in-game server browser.
How to Modify your Server Name and Description
By using our config file system on your control panel, you can quickly change the display name and description of your truck simulator server.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to Files > Config Files.
- Click Truck Simulator Settings.
- Set the Server Description and Server Name fields to your desired values.
- Save and Start your server.
After you save your changes and start your server, you will now see that your server name and description are updated in-game.
