How to Downgrade your Stardew Valley Server to Version 1.5

If you wish to play an older version of Stardew Valley, you can downgrade your server to Version 1.5. Whether you don't have interest in playing the new update or found a mod that isn't compatible with the latest version, you can always downgrade.

Important: If you have upgraded your current farm to version 1.6 you will not be able to use this on your version 1.5 server, therefore you will have to generate a new farm.

Downgrading your Stardew Valley Server

In order to downgrade your server to 1.5, you will need to Stardew Valley server settings that is found in your server's control panel.

  1. Access your Control Panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Open up your Stardew Valley Server Settings and find the Use Stardew v1.5.6 property.
  4. Set the property to Enabled.
  5. Save and Start your server.

You have now downgraded your Stardew Valley server to 1.5.6. In order to join the server, you will need to downgrade your local installation to 1.5.6 as well, you can find our guide on this here.

After booting up the server, you will be able to join your Shockbyte server.
