Uploading your local world to your Shockbyte Eco dedicated server can take away the burden of you having to host the server locally on your PC - allowing you to allocate all your PCs resources to playing the game. Additionally, running your world on a Shockbyte Eco game server can allow your world to be active 24/7.
Locating your Local Save File
You can find your world save file in your Eco game file directory.
- Launch Steam, and go to your Game Library.
- Right-click Eco, and navigate to Manage > Browse local files.
- Navigate to
\Eco_Data\Server\Storage
. - In this folder you will find both the database file and the ECO file, each of them will have the same file name. Keep this folder open for now.
Now that you have located these files, you can upload them to your Shockbyte server.
Uploading your World file
You can upload your world save file to your server files using FTP file access.
- Navigate to your control panel and Stop your server.
- Access your server files via FTP, we suggest using FileZilla.
- Open the Storage folder.
- Upload both your database and ECO file found previously to this folder.
- You will need to rename both of these files to
Game
. If there are already files existing named Game, remove or rename these. - Start your server.
That's it! Connect to your server, and you will now be using your existing world save.
