This tutorial is for setting up the modded Server type itself (Forge & Fabric). If you wish to install a modpack then you can use our easy 1-Click Modpack Installer to install a conatantly growing number of modpacks! Important: Before installing any modded server type on your server, it is worth noting that it is recommended that you fully reset the server. If you wish to backup your current server and store it locally, you can follow the steps here.
- Stop your server, using the STOP button.
- Under Server Type, select
Custom JAR.
- Navigate to Files > Setup.
- Select your desired modded server type from the dropdown menu.
- Ensure that Delete All Server Files is checked and enter your password where requested. Then click the Apply.
- Start your server and wait for the setup to finish.
Your server should now be online with the modified server type of your choice! If you have installed a Fabric server, we recommend that you follow our guide on how to install Fabric mods. Otherwise, you can follow our other guide which explains how to install Forge mods.
