How to Configure Team Size on your Rust Server

Team size is an important factor in servers on Rust, as it's a way to utilise the balance between teams. By default, the team size is 8 and this can be increased or decreased. However, the Rust Team UI has a hard limit of displaying 8 players.

Configuring Team Size

To configure team size, you must access the Rust Server Settings in your server's control panel.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Open Rust Server Settings.
  4. Locate the Maximum Team Size option, and set your value.
    • Setting the value to 0 will disable teams.
  5. Save and Start your server.
