Two important commands for Eco server administrators to be aware of are the kick and ban commands. These commands allow admins to remove players that may be causing disruption or engaging in unwanted behaviour from the server either temporarily or permanently.
Kicking Players
While connected to the server, an admin can kick a player from the server using the kick console command. This temporarily removes the player from the server but they will be able to rejoin instantly.
- Login to your server as an admin.
- Open chat, and type the command
/kick (NAME),[REASON]
.
Banning/Unbanning Players
While connected to the server, an admin can ban players from the server permanently using the ban chat command. This removes the player from the server and stops them from rejoining permanently.
Players can just as easily be unbanned using the unban chat command.
- Login to your server as an admin.
- Open chat, and type the command
/ban (NAME),[REASON]
. - Should you wish to, you can also unban a player using the command
/unban (NAME)
.
