There is a huge variety of configurable options available to Eco server owners allowing them to customise their world. Available options include world size, biome distribution, resource distribution, and much more.
As Eco worlds are generated in their entirety when a server is first started Eco server owners will need to generate a new world for any changes made to generations settings to take effect.
Changing World Generation Settings
Before generating a new world, you can modify any common world generation settings in the WorldGenerator.eco config file. In this example, we will be changing the world's size.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to Files > Config Files.
- Click WorldGenerator.eco.
- Locate the Dimensions object.
- Within the Dimensions object, set the WorldWidth and the WorldHeight to a number that is smaller than 130, and divisible by 4 (72 by default).
- Save your changes.
Generating a New World
After making changes to the WorldGenerator.eco config file, you will need to generate a new world to see your changes in-game.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to Files > Config Files.
- Click Eco Server Settings.
- Set the World Name field to a new value.
- Save and Start your server.
