As of the 16th of June, 2023 Iron Gate Studio has released the much-anticipated beta update for Hildir's Request!
Features included are the new Hildir the Merchant NPC, the new mini-bosses, new locations, and much more.

Enabling the Steam Beta
Using your valheim.properties, you can update to the Hildir's Request Beta on your dedicated server.
- Access your control panel and Stop your server.
- Navigate to Files > Config Files.
- Open Valheim Server Settings.
- You will be required to edit the following options:
- World- Enter a new world name to generate a fresh world.
- steam_beta - Enter
public-testto load the Hildir's Request Beta. - enableBepInEx- Set as
Disabledto disable BepInEx as it's not currently up-to-date to support the Steam Beta.
- Save and Start your server.
Setting up your Client
It's important to make sure your Valheim client also matches the server client otherwise you will be unable to join.
- Launch Steam, and go to your Game Library.
- Locate Valheim, right-click it and navigate to Properties > Betas.
- Enter the code
yesimadebackups, and click Check Code.
- You'll receive a message saying it was a success, and in the dropdown, you can select the beta public-test.
- Steam will download the beta, and will have renamed to Valheim [public-test].
