How to Set your Killing Floor 2 Server to Private

Setting your Killing Floor 2 server to private allows you to restrict access to select players and prevent uninvited players from joining and disrupting your experience.

Currently, the only way to make your Killing Floor 2 server private is by setting a password for your server.

Setting a Password

You can set a password for your server in the Killing Floor 2 Server Settings section of your server's control panel.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Click Killing Floor 2 Server Settings.
  4. Enter your chosen password in the Server Password field.
  5. Save and Start your server.

You will now find when connecting to your server, you will be prompted with a pop-up asking for a server password.
