How to Configure your Killing Floor 2 Server

Common Shockbyte Killing Floor 2 server startup configuration options are found in the Killing Floor 2 Server Settings section of your server's control panel. This configuration file facilitates quick and easy updates to settings like server name, description, active map, workshop mods, and more.

Configuring Game Session Settings

While the KillingFloor2.properties config file is used to change the startup options for your server, all other essential game options can be configured using the Web-Admin Panel.

For more information on the Killing Floor 2 Web-Admin Panel and how to access it, please refer to this knowledgebase article.

Accessing your Server Startup Settings

Primary startup configuration options can be defined in your KillingFloor2.properties file. To edit this file, you should access the Files > Config Files section on your control panel.

Other configuration files such as the KFGame.ini file can be found here as well, but only holds advanced configuration options.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Click Killing Floor 2 Server Settings.
