How to Set your Counter Strike: Source Server to Private

Setting a Counter Strike: source server to private allows server owners to restrict access to select players and prevent uninvited players from joining and disrupting others.


Setting your Server to Private

You can add a password to your server in the Counter Strike: Source Server Settings section of your control panel.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Click Counter Strike: Source Server Settings.
  4. To set a password, enter a password in the Server Password field.
  5. Save and Start your server.
