If you want to use your Minecraft server world in singleplayer, as a backup or use it on another server, you will need to download your world onto your computer. This guide will assist you with both downloading a copy of your world, as well as loading it in your game so you can play it.
DOWNLOADING YOUR BEDROCK WORLD
- Log in to your server's Multicraft panel. If you have more than one server, select the server you would like to download the world from.
- Stop your server if it is currently running. This prevents the server from creating any new files or modifying existing ones which are especially useful if you would like to download your world.
- Once you've stopped your server, create a folder on your computer where you will store your server world.
- Open up your preferred FTP Client like FileZilla. Use this to access your server directory. If you do not know how to do this, you may refer to our tutorial linked here: How to use FileZilla for FTP (File Management)
- Open the
\worlds
folder. - Download the world file of your world (it will be called the same as your world). Either drag and drop it to your chosen location or just right-click it and select "Download".
- If you just want a copy of your world, you can now stop, as you have one downloaded.
PLAYING ON YOUR BEDROCK SERVER
- To begin, start your Minecraft App (Windows 10 Edition), and create a new world by clicking Play, then Create New.
- Save and quit the game once you have created the new world.
- Open your documents folder and in the path bar put copy and paste
C:\Users\(your pc username)\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\games\com.mojang\minecraftWorlds
- remember to replace the username part with your own PC username. - The folders with seemingly random names are your world folders from your game client. You can find which is which by opening the folder and clicking on the
levelname
text file, which will open notepad and show you the name of the world save. In this case the world name in the game client is 'Random World'. Locate the world you have just created. - Once in the correct folder, delete everything inside.
- Take the contents (not the folder itself) of the world you downloaded from your server, and move them into this folder.
- Relaunch your game, and login to your world.
