Sometimes it is incredibly useful to ban rowdy players from your GMod server. This article will cover how to kick and ban players from your server using ULX in-game commands.
METHOD ONE
Before we start, ensure that you are set as an Administrator on your server. To do this, please refer to our guide on Installing ULX & ULIB Admin System to your Garry's Mod Server.
- Once you’ve set up your ULX Admin system, open the console in-game by pressing
~
. - You can now enter any ULX commands.
Syntax Description ulx ban <player> [time (in minutes)] [reason]
Bans a player based off their username for an optional amount of time. ulx banid <steamid>[minutes, 0 for permanent] [reason]
Bans a player based off their SteamID for an optional amount of time. ulx unban <steamid/username>
Unbans a user based off their SteamID or username at the time of ban. - Click Submit to enter the command.
METHOD TWO
- In the in-game chat (accessible by pressing Y on your keyboard), enter any of the following commands.
Syntax Description !ban <player> [time (in minutes)][reason]
Bans a player based off their username for an optional amount of time. !banid <steamid>[time (in minutes)][reason]
Bans a player based off their SteamID for an optional amount of time. !unban <steamid/username>
Unbans a user based off their SteamID or username at the time of ban. - Press enter on your keyboard to send the command.
You have now banned a user from your server!
