How to Change the Name and Description of Your Project Zomboid server

Changing your Project Zomboid server name and description is a great way to make your server stand out, or to show potential players what your server is all about. You can change your server name or description by following these steps:

  1. Login to the server’s Control Panel.
  2. On the left-hand side, navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Click the world.ini config file.
  4. Locate the PublicName and PublicDescription and change them to your desired server name and description.

Note: If your server name or description is too long, the server may not show up in the server list.
  5. Click Save and Restart your server to apply the changes.

Your server should now show the updated name and description on the server list!
