How to Kick or Ban a Player From Your Project Zomboid Server

Sometimes it is incredibly useful to ban/kick disruptive or unwanted players from your Project Zomboid server. This article will cover how to kick and ban players from your server using the server console.

HOW TO BAN A PLAYER WITH STEAMID64

  1. Login to your server’s control panel.
  2. On the left-hand side, navigate to the Console.
  3. Find the SteamID64 of the player.
  4. Type in your console: banid <SteamID64>.
    1. You can unban SteamID64 with unbanid <SteamID64>.

HOW TO BAN A PLAYER WITH THEIR USERNAME

  1. Login to your server’s control panel.
  2. On the left-hand side, navigate to the Console.
  3. Type in your console: banuser <Username>.
    1. You can unban with unbanuser <Username>.

HOW TO KICK A PLAYER

  1. Login to your server’s control panel.
  2. On the left-hand side, navigate to the Console.
  3. Type in your console: kickuser <Username>.
