How to Configure Spawn Protection on Your SCP: Secret Laboratory Server

In SCP: Secret Laboratory, spawn protection is not enabled by default. You can enable this to prevent players from immediately being killed after respawning. All spawn protection parameters can easily be altered in your server configuration.

CONFIGURING SPAWN PROTECTION

  1. Go to your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > FTP File Access and log in.
  3. Navigate to /.config/SCP Secret Laboratory/config/<yourServersPortNumber>/ and click Edit next to config_gameplay.txt.
  4. Change the spawn_protect_disable, spawn_protect_time, spawn_protect_team, and spawn_protect_allow_dmg fields to your preferred settings.
    Config Field Description Default Value Possible Values
    spawn_protect_disable Disables/Enables spawn protection. true true or false
    spawn_protect_time Spawn protection length in seconds. 30 A number in seconds: 1, 2, 3, 10, 20, 30, …
    spawn_protect_team Spawn protection enabled for the selected team(s). 1, 2

    1 or 2

    1 = MTF
    2 = Chaos Insurgents

    spawn_protect_allow_dmg Allow spawn protected players to deal damage. true true or false
  5. Click Save and Restart your server.

You have now successfully changed your spawn protection settings!
