Want to purchase a 24/7 Stardew Valley Server? Click here to visit our store page for a server with instant activation! We use a headless server mod to run a server 24/7, which pauses when no players are online and has a crop saver feature so you don't have to worry about losing your crops when offline.

Getting Started With Your Stardew Valley Server

Before joining your new Stardew Valley server for the first time it is important to ensure that all your farm's settings are the way you want them to be as making future changes will require you to completely reset your farm causing you to lose any progress you have made.

  1. Access your control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Open Stardew Valley Server Settings.
  4. Important: Before you make any changes, edit the Farm Name field to set a new name for your farm. This is required for these farm changes to take effect as you can not make these changes to currently existing farms.
  5. Edit this config file to set your specific needs, information can be found on each of these settings below:

  6. After making any required changes click Save and Start your server.

Allowing More Players To Join

The way that player data is saved is that each player created gets linked to a cabin. If there are no empty cabins available then a new player cannot connect to the server.

Only one player can be associated with each cabin. To allow for additional players to join an admin on the server is required to create more cabins.
