How to Trim Your World Without the Use of Plugins

You are able to trim chunks from your Minecraft world outside of a predefined border without using plugins such as Worldborder. This is possible using the built-in world trim feature available with your Shockbyte Minecraft server.

This will impact all of the worlds in your server files, including those that are not currently active on your server. This is even the case if they are hidden in a subdirectory or backup folder.

Important Reminder: This is a dangerous function that can damage worlds if used incorrectly. Make sure to create a backup of all your server worlds before proceeding.

HOW TO TRIM YOUR WORLD:

To use our server trimming tool, please follow these steps:

  1. Stop your server using the red stop button

  2. On the left sidebar, navigate to Files > Setup

  3. Select your desired option. You will be able to trim worlds in a 5K10K20K, and 40K block radius

  4. Select apply

  5. Start your server.

Your world should now be trimmed to your selected radius.
