How to Install a Custom PHAR File on Your Minecraft Bedrock Server

In some cases, you may find that our Server Type selector tool on the Multicraft panel does not support a specific version or server type. In these situations, you can use a custom PHAR file as your server type by following the steps provided in this article.

Install a Custom PHAR

To install a custom PHAR file, you will need to rename your PHAR file to your selected PHP version and upload it to your server files.

Important: In this example, we are using a custom PHAR made with PHP 8.0. If the custom PHAR you would like to use does not support PHP 8.0, feel free to replace the "8.0" used during this guide with the version of PHP your custom PHAR uses.
  1. Download your desired PHAR file.
  2. Rename it to "custom-php8.0.phar".
  3. Login to your Multicraft panel and Stop your server.
  4. Navigate to Files > FTP File Access and log in.
  5. Click the Upload button on the left-hand menu.
  6. Upload your new PHAR file (custom-php8.0.phar).
  7. Return to your server dashboard and set the server type to "Custom PHAR PHP 8.0".
  8. Click the blue Save button and Start your server.

After completing these steps, assuming you downloaded a valid server type, your server should be booted up and running without issue.
