How to Change Your TF2 Server Name

Your TF2 server’s name is what players see when adding your server to Steam favourites and browsing the community server list. This can be easily changed in the Server Settings configuration file.

  1. Access your server control panel and Stop your server.
  2. Navigate to Files > Config Files.
  3. Open Team Fortress 2 Server Settings.
  4. Enter your desired server name in the Host Name field and click Save.
  5. Restart your server.
