How To Locate Your Starbound Logs

When troubleshooting an issue with your Starbound server, logs can assist you in identifying and resolving the issue efficiently.

Shockbyte Staff may ask you to present these logs in order to assist you with diagnosing the issue you may be having.

How To Find Server-Side Logs

  1. Log in to your Control Panel.
  2. Navigate to Files > FTP File Access.
  3. Select the /storage/ folder.
  4. Click Edit next to starbound_server.log
  5. Copy and paste the entire text into our Hastebin.

Click Save in the top right corner and copy the resulting URL from your address bar to share your log.

How To Find Client-Side Logs

  1. Launch Steam and access your Library.
  2. Navigate to Starbound, right-click the game, then select Properties...
  3. Navigate to LOCAL FILES and click Browse...

  4. Open the /storage/ folder.
  5. Open starbound.log with any text editor of choice.
  6. Copy all of the text and paste it into our Hastebin.

Click Save in the top right corner and copy the resulting URL from your address bar to share your log.
