To get started, make sure your server is up and running by clicking Start on your control panel. When you first start the server, generating the server files may take a few minutes. You can monitor the loading progress through the server console.
Finding Your Server IP
After starting your server, you will need to keep note of your Server Address.
Note: You will need to keep track of both the IP and port in your Server Address. For example, the Server Address
192.186.1.1:25565, 192.186.1.1 is the IP while 25565 is the port.Connecting to Your Starbound Server
- Launch Starbound and click JOIN GAME.
- Select a character you’ve created before or create a new one by following our guide here.
- Input your Server Address.
Note: If you’ve created any user accounts, you will also need to enter the username and password if you’ve set your server to private or made an admin account. - Click Join server to connect to your server!
